This is a frequently spoken comment of theater, movie and concert attendees. How, the wonder, does anyone enjoy a performance when they simply are miserably squeezed into small seats with little space between then and the next seat, and not enough room to stretch a leg or wiggle around just a bit as need? Home theater and home theater seats have arrived in order to address these questions and concerns.
Although some home theater seats look similar to more familiar sectional sofas and sectional seating arrangements, there are major differences. Home theater seats are designed with clear viewing of the movie or television screen available no matter where one sits in the configuration of seating. Larger viewing areas have been factored in to accommodate newer and larger screens.
Like sectional sofas and other furniture in appearance, home theater seats are designed for lasting comfort throughout the length of a movie, television performance, concert, and other entertainment. All one has to do is sit in one of the comfortable home theater seats to realize the incredible comfort of overstuffed, yet subtle chair seats, the wide arms (some with cup holders), the recline of additional seating units, and the built in drink cooler, telephone connection, and/or the single fold down bed for those who want to stretch out end enjoy the entertainment. There has been discussion regarding the addition of a bassinet for infants who need to be close to a parent but not necessarily held at all times. Soothing music or sounds will be available for the infant but will not interfere with the adult home theater enjoyment.
Home theater seats are available to a variety of materials, colors and patterns and are appropriate for large dens, family rooms, basement entertainment rooms and others. Several companies offer families the option of supplying their own cover materials. Leather theater seats are available, of course, and are high quality and provide unquestionable comfort.
Recognizing that children and adults often differ in the definition of comfort, many companies offer children’s home theater seats. These theater seats offer many of the adult amenities as well as age appropriate options such as fold out lap tables, covers with informal patterns as well as bold colors, and snack trays. As with the adult home theater seats, the children seating is well padded with comfortable materials, and utilizes easily to clean cover materials.
There is absolutely no comparison to being uncomfortably squeezed into a theater seat and to finding the room, comfort, and versatility of a home theater seat or seating arrangement.
